I think this is the right name

Agtax, I don't vote against Bush per se. I am simply not a Republican, that's all. Since Reagan came to office in 1980, with his "revolution", I've seen the middle class practically disappear in this country. Since I don't want to live in a Banana Republic with no middle class, I don't vote Republican. I don't need to be a member of "move on" or anything else. I don't need the opinion of any radio talk show host either. I went to school, and I can think for myself. But, that's what makes America great, we can have different views. Good discussion

No offense taken or meant. Sometimes I will come out a little strong on the liberal side on Taxalmanac. Really, it's because I feel the liberal side should at least get an airing. Of course, there are more than two sides, and Libertarianism is also a subject worthy of consideration and discussion. I do have to plead guilty to being an old fashioned liberal, and proud of it, however.

What I don't think some Republicans can see is that we have merely "replaced" social walfare with corporate welfare, and Ron Paul was the best of the lot in pointing this out. Personally, I can get by with less in the way of worldly goods so that some can have something. Not everyone of the human race is endowed with equal health, equal intelligence, etc. Some truly have bad luck, and I've been around long enough to believe in bad luck, and good luck.

I will tell you this, though, I would certainly vote for Barr or Paul before I'd vote for McCain, for example. That may sound strange. But at least Barr and Paul are a lot closer to intellectual honesty, and not so totally in the pocket of corporate America. P.S. Yes, Obama will get my vote, not enthusiastically, but he'll get my vote. CrowJD 17:12, 15 August 2008 (CDT)
